Interesting. Which was a Tesla problem anyway since their software and firmware incompatibility caused the issue. No you’re not correct that it died prematurely. You can read anywhere that those lead acid batteries only last 2-4 years. So I was due. It’s just that the constant wake/asleep cycling did it in sooner rather than later. I am just finishing up the edit on my part 2 to this. I did bring it in to a Tesla service center. For a quick teaser, they said back in April I had the Tesla power lift gate retrofit kit installed, by Tesla themselves. They said a recent software update was incompatible with the firmware of the lift gate control module. The resolution is to wait and see. So we shall see.

Yes! But the temps will start trading downward slightly over the next couple of days. Yesterday morning the fog was interesting. There’s a small farm that’s maybe 1 acre and it had a very dense fog layer just over the fields.

Whether you have an android or iPhone, I recommend using weather.gov over the apps for a readable forecast. There you would type your zip code in. Otherwise, I really like RadarScope (iPhone only) for looking at live radar data.

I’ve made my own variations of a Jack and coke. Initially I added to that grand marnier and merischino cherry juice with cherry coke. This time I swapped out the cherry coke for Sunkist orange soda.

I should make a sub channel that’s all shorts of making drinks lol.

Totally missed that when I was recording lol. My forecast still stands, I really don't think much in terms of severe weather is going to come from this. One quick flash of lightning or rumble of thunder for 10 minutes and that would be it. We shall see however.

Funny thing is my local meteorologists saw that on Facebook Live in my DMA for local ABC 😂 how you miss that 😂

I do have a question for you since you saw this for Ida what takes more importance a Flash Flood Warning/ emergency or a tornado warning in the same polygon? And how would you message that if you were still on TV?

@@raymondguilbeault4585 to be honest I was getting very frustrated with my recording setup. Every time I went to record something new would stop working. After a dozen attempts and almost an hour of troubleshooting, I said f it and ran with what I had. I forgot to click the tomorrow view on spc, although I did on a previous recording lol.

@@raymondguilbeault4585 great question! Actually the FCC controls this and sets the rules for TV news. Tornados always takes precedent over any kind of flooding. No matter what, even if you’re interviewing the president, if a tornado warning is issued for your DMA, you break in live. If a flash flood warning or flood emergency is issued, no break in required, just the crawl at the bottom of the screen.

A year later we were asked if we want to keep him and said yes. Then due to some things, my wife and I are moving into a house with my parents. It’ll be easier for my parents and us to live together financially financially. My dad is allergic to cats so we had to give him back. I really do miss the cat that was named Tesla.

Yeah the charging time is a big obstacle. I charge at home so I am always able to have it charging while sleeping so it really doesn’t affect me. It seems that EVs would only work best right now for those that have their own house, which seems less and less these days unfortunately.

@@WeatherManAP yep, that's what I loved about it. Waking up to a fully charged bike made for an excellent commuter. Things fall apart when someone wants to cross states and not lose travel time at charging stations.

@@R3alR00tux yeah the EV fast charging infrastructure isn’t great right now. Tesla is doing pretty well. I also have a Tesla and it’d be neat to charger the bike at a Tesla supercharger since there are more of them around.

@@WeatherManAP same, got a 2023 model 3 performance. Kinda regressed with purchasing an ICE bike, but I'll be back :)

@@R3alR00tux nice! I was able to get a really good deal on a lightly used 10k mile 1 year old long range. It had FSD and acceleration boost already unlocked, so it’s close to being a performance lol.

Ben thank you so much for commenting! I’ve been watching your channel and love your videos. I do really like the black motor. It seems to be some sort of rubberized/vulcanized coating. I bought it strait from a Harley dealer this way and they did assure me it was fine and won’t effect the warranty since I bought it that way. I have rode it in heat (although NY heat is like 95 lol), and the motor temps stayed in range on the display. Although it did get hit when fast charging it didn’t trip any warnings.

@@WeatherManAP as long as the motor doesn’t get too hot, should be good!

@@AdventuresonZero yeah it seems pretty good! The only issue I found on it when I took delivery last year was the brake fluid moisture level is high so I gotta do a brake fluid flush. Have you seen any battery degradation in yours? Mine hasn’t seen any degradation.

@@WeatherManAP I have 23k on one, and 5k on the other. It’s hard to tell degradation during the winter. I’ll know in the summer if there’s been a change

The dealer took a lot off of the bike for me. I bought it “used”, but it only had about 900 miles on it. They completed the 1k service before I took delivery which was awesome too.

@@bryantc2899 I'll have to experiment a bit with Omega. I do pay for the higher tier 2 of RadarScope. Since it's part of my job, I've finagled a way to write off the cost of RadarScope Pro for taxes lol.
